Macy's Sweetest Moment Yet

Sitting here in my studio with Macy asleep in my arms... About 10 minutes ago she was simply sitting on my lap, listening to music with me. She had a very content look on her face and reached up to grab my hand with hers. Her eyes slowly got heavy and she fell asleep. I had one arm across her chest and was typing with the other, as I am now, and can only imagine that she felt safe. It was the sweetest moment I've had with her yet.

I had finished some work and heard her fussing with Angie downstairs so I decided to go spend some time with her. I played with her for about 20 minutes, trying to get her to laugh. Then I brought her upstairs with me and she sat on my lap for about 15 minutes as I worked. She got a little restless so I took her into her room and tried to read her a book. She didn't like it too much, so I brought her back into the studio and started playing some music I've been working on. That seemed to settle her down, so I just turned on my iTunes and that's when she really started to chill...

One reason that the moment seemed so sweet was because she has started looking at me square in the face like she knows me and right before she fell asleep she looked at me a few times, then took my hand.

I'm blessed...
